We were commissioned to create a story about CDC's infectious disease department.
We focused on CDC's Ebola research in Uganda.
The story was composited across the 18-screen Global Symphony exhibit.
Most of the footage was shot during a CDC research mission in a remote region of Uganda.
CDC's infectious disease unit spent several days trapping and testing bats for the Ebola virus.
Trying to establish the bat as a possible carrier of the deadly virus.
The narrative was constructed from interviews with the researchers and doctors.
We also filmed the team working in their labs in Atlanta.
The Ebola story illustrates perfectly how CDC mobilizes around an urgent and complex health crisis.
